Salon is the place for a meeting in a creative landscape. To exchange ideas, inform each other, and inspire one another on how to keep the world livable. The inspiration comes from the French Salons, an 18th-century tradition where artists and other interested parties meet. The occasion was an exhibition, a lecture, or a discussion.
In 2009 and 2010, the first Frisgroen sustainable fashion & lifestyle parties were organized at the Hedon music venue. A party as a means of communication for sustainable fashion and lifestyle. Subsequently, various gatherings were organized, such as Sustainable Cafés and Salons. Collaboration took place with other initiatives such as Urgenda – Day of Sustainability, Redactie Club Cele in Zwolle, and ties were made with Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week and the global action Fashion Revolution Week.
