After making waves during New York Fashion Week, Floating Fashion is now coming to Europe—landing in Barcelona for its highly anticipated Mediterranean edition.
This bold fashion concept merges fashion, performance, music and international creativity aboard a floating runway, offering an immersive journey unlike anything else in the fashion world.
This summer, the Mediterranean becomes the stage for a bold new fashion experience. Floating Fashion Barcelona invites you on an exclusive journey where fashion, music, and art meet at sea—aboard a sustainable catamaran cruising along the iconic coastline of Barcelona.
Curated and produced by fashion designer María Voth Velasco, artist and curator of the ArtBasel Switzerland Frank Castro and the US-Partner correspondent the Heart of Houston, this one-of-a-kind event gathers international creatives, designers, musicians, models, and art lovers to celebrate freedom, sustainability, and bold self-expression.
The experience
The experience begins at the Olympic Port of Barcelona, where guests board a stunning catamaran at 16:00h. From 16:30 to 18:30, the boat transforms into a floating runway, showcasing curated swimwear and streetwear collections from both emerging and established labels. Brands include Turtlehorn, Aqvua, Creativvo, Millas Swimwear, and several exciting newcomers from the United States.
While the sea sparkles under the summer sun, guests enjoy a multisensory program of live fashion, electronic sets by ZIGZAG (FR), and musical acts from DJ’s and artists like Frank Castro (ES), Charlee Brown (US), Tiageto, and GetBanz. The floating celebration is accompanied by carefully curated bites and drinks, including cava tastings from regional cava, Caves Bohigas, an exclusive jamón cutting experience with Antonio Donaire, and creative welcome drinks, integrating culinary art as part of the show.
As the catamaran returns to shore, the second part of the experience unfolds. From 18:30 until late, the evening continues at a private rooftop venue overlooking the port. The Latin Palace rooftop sets the scene for a vibrant afterparty, blending music, fashion, and panoramic views in an intimate “Marine Chic meets Fantasy” atmosphere.
With limited capacity, Floating Fashion is designed to offer a refined yet rebellious experience—bringing together a global community of fashion insiders, creatives, and performers from Spain, Germany, France, The Netherlands and the US.
